Iemas Competition Rules

The following general rules apply to all Iemas competitions entered into:

  1. Competitions are open to all Iemas members who have active accounts with Iemas or members who apply for membership and products during competitions and according to specific competition rules.
  2. No Iemas employees are allowed to participate in any member competitions.
  3. Competitions are communicated via e-mail, SMS, Iemas publications, Iemas website and printed material.
  4. Members who qualify for a specific competition are automatically entered into the competition. No entries after the closing date of a competition will be considered for any prizes.
  5. Judging and drawing of winners for Iemas competitions are done by Iemas’s Internal Audit Department. Data of entrants is retrieved from Iemas’s database, and only qualifying entries falling within the competition dates are retrieved.
  6. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. Winners of prizes will be informed within 28 days after the draw. Prizes will be awarded to winners within 28 days of informing entrants of winning a prize.
  8. All competitions and prizes are initiated and provided by Iemas only.
  9. Prizes must be redeemed within 7 days after informing the winner.
  10. In the event that a prize winner is unable to collect the prize, does not want the prize or Iemas can not get hold of the winner, Iemas may do a re-draw of all the entrants to draw a new winner/s. The same rules will apply for the new winner.
  11. Iemas reserves the right to publish the names and pictures (when possible) of competition winners in Iemas publications and other mediums used by Iemas.
  12. The cost of replying to an SMS sent by Iemas is R0.31, which is for the sender’s account.
  13. The cost of sending an SMS to Iemas’s short code number, 32297, is R1.00 per SMS, which is for the sender’s account.
  14. Standard terms, conditions and qualifying criteria are applicable when applying for Iemas products and services. Only approved, accepted and active applications are considered for draws.
  15. Iemas promotes free and fair participation and no member is forced to participate in a competition.
