Introduction
Iemas offers financial wellness training to all employees of contracted employer groups. The financial worries of employees can have a large impact on their productivity levels, therefore it is becoming crucial for employers to ensure that their employees are equipped to make informed decisions regarding their own financial futures. Since 2006, Iemas has gained a very good track record by assisting employers with the training of their employees in financial life skills.

The benefits of the programme:

  • The training programme is provided free of charge to employees of contracted groups.
  • The programme caters for all levels of employees from clerks to management.
  • All facilitators are accredited to conduct the training.
  • It is offered in a number of languages.
  • It is provided at the workplace.
  • The programme is an outcomes-based training programme that is accredited by the Bankseta, through the Banking & Financial Services Campus (BFSC).
  • The programme consists of seven modules ranging from the role of money, escaping a debt spiral, budgeting, savings and investment tips and guidelines in buying a house or a vehicle.
  • The programme can be included as part of the employer’s induction programme to new employees and/or for employees that are approaching retirement.
  • Employers can provide input as to which matters affect their employees the most and they will receive feedback after the training has been conducted.

Duration of the programme:

  • One day, in the workplace during office hours (scheduled by employer HR)
  • Can be divided into 2 or 4 sessions

Cost of the programme:

  • FREE. Iemas provides the training at no cost to the employer.
